MEYERTON. – A sum of R50 000 was recently presented by the Midvaal Local Municipality and business partners to various charity organisations and community projects in the region.
The fundraising initiatives – like the Midvaal 90.6 Cycle Challenge and the Midvaal Council Golf Day – helped provide a helping hand to many needy beneficiaries.
Beneficiaries included the VCR Soup Kitchen Project, ‘Helpende Hand’, Tour de Walkerville and the Lerato Children’s Home.
“Our sincere thanks and appreciation to all our sponsors. We believe in facilitating partnerships with our business community to work jointly on projects and also to ensure we are able to support our communities in need,” said acting Mayor Councillor Cliff Hartman at the recent site visits and handover of the cheques.
