Bless us 'Mporo'

SHARPEVILLE.- The controversial Paseka ΓÇ£MporoΓÇ¥ Motsoeneng is fast making a name for himself in this region. The popular radio and television personality partnered with VUT FM and Sharpeville SAPS to host a prayer meeting at the police precinct on Friday.

The prayer was aimed at forming a strong bond between the community of Sharpeville and members of the police in the area. Organised by VUT FM, the event marked MporoΓÇÖs first ever visit to Sharpeville SAPS. In recent weeks, the man best known for his antics on Soweto TV on DStv Channel 150 has gone live on VUT FM and even went as far as hosting his shows at the Vereeniging Civic Theatre and Mphatlalatsane Theatre in Zone 14, Sebokeng.

Sharpeville SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Aubrey Moopeloa says that Mporo was contributing towards the fight against crime and that his visit was primarily targeted at police officers and community members. ΓÇ£The event went well. Mporo was a little late as he was delayed elsewhere but, as soon as he arrived, members of the community were happy to see him,ΓÇ¥ says Moopeloa.

Mporo arrived with his entourage of bodyguards and camera crew, much to the appreciation of his fans in the area. Spectators came in their numbers to watch the man of prayer and he did not disappoint as he made an appearance outside the police station prior to going inside for the special prayer.
