VANDERBIJLPARK – The Social Crime Prevention Unit of the Vanderbijlpark SAPS donated clothes to residents of Mnqiniswa Squatter Camp in Bophelong on April 20.
As part of the “SAPS Cares” Project established three years ago, the Vanderbijlpark Station felt the need to help the residents because many of them are unemployed.
“The community welcomed the police with open arms and their faces were smiling happily,” says Police spokesperson Kinnie Steyn.
This project, co-coordinated by Captain Chere Mohale and his colleagues, will continue throughout the year.
