Ina Bonnette shares her ordeal

VEREENGING. – Polokong Children’s Village will host a Ladies Fayre on May 26 with the theme Life, a gift to live.

The function will start at 10:00 in the Banquet Hall at Vereeniging’s Civic Centre.

It will be an elegant and classy event with a delicious three course meal.

Annie Malan, well-known actress and philanthropist, will be the Master of Ceremonies and will give a motivational speech, to inspire and motivate the guests.

Adam, winner of a Ghoema Award in 2011/2012, will entertain everyone with their high-energy music.

There will also be dance items by the Cairo Moon Belly Dancers, Spanish Dancers and special items by the Polokong Belly Dancers and Polokong children’s choir.

Lerato Moloi, a local singer will also entertain guests with her beautiful music.

Main speaker
Their main speaker at the event will be Ina Bonnette, victim of the Modimolle Monster, Johan Kotze. Ina will share her traumatic ordeal, of being raped and mutilated by three men and losing her beloved son.

There will also be an art exhibition by the artist, Tendai Makufa, in the foyer. All proceeds from the function and sales will go towards Polokong Children’s Village.

Polokong Children’s Village takes care of 50 abandoned, abused, destitute and neglected children. They also have a Drop-In-Centre, where they feed 300 children on a daily basis.

Their Emancipation Project allows children from the children’s home to study further, helping them to become successful, well-balanced adults.

They also assist children who can’t study further to find employment.
