If you are aged 18 to 70 and have an interest in rugby and are fit and prepared to commit yourself to the game, read on. The Falcons needs you.
No game of rugby can be played without a referee.
In South Africa and our region there is a dire shortage of people who can referee rugby union. There is a vast number of excellent couch referees so why not qualify yourself to be a referee? Impress all your friends with your vast knowledge of the game and its laws.
The Vaal region is privileged to have expe-rienced, qualified coaches and match reviewers at their disposal. They will assist you as far as humanly possible.
In the months to come they will be running International Rugby Board referee courses to equip aspiring coaches with the correct tools and knowledge to become better referees.
The first meeting for the season will be on February 16 at 18:00 in the VIP lounge of Izak Steyl Stadium.
For more information contact Alfred Ross (President Falcons Referee Society) on 082 457 3270 or André van Tonder (Chairperson of Falcons Vaal Region) on 083 230 9975.
Come and enjoy and serve the game!
