VEREENIGING – An exciting 2010 awaits local rock band “Changing Face”. The year started off on a high when they were invited to perform throughout the whole of January at Sun City.
This gig included a gruelling 24 shows. “It was a magical experience allthough┬áit took a lot out of the band,” says lead singer Lloyd.
After their stay at Sun City, the band took a deserving break and Lloyd jumped at the chance to visit his family in America.
“I spent three weeks with my dad, brother and other family members and during my stay also ran into a band called Changing Phases,” says Lloyd. He met the members of this 11-piece band after their show and was quite surprised to learn that they were aware of the ┬áSouth African band called Changing Face. Luckily there will be no confusion as the two bands perform different kinds of music.
But Lloyd is back in the Vaal again and will be performing in a few local shows before the band bids farewell to its home town again and travels back to Sun City. This time they will be staying and performing at Sun City for 3 months as part of the 2010 Soccer World Cup build-up. They leave on May 1, but local fans will have the opportunity to see them perform on April 24 at the Barnyard Theatre in Three Rivers Vereeniging. They will share the stage with Garth Taylor.
On April 30 they will be on stage at the Transvalia Open Air Show at 20:00. Don’t miss out the chance to see the local lads rock up a storm!
